TRMS President George Tanty retires after 47 years in alarm risk management and insurance
Bay Shore, N.Y.—January 7, 2019—Brownyard Group, a program administrator providing specialized insurance coverage for select industries, today announced it is purchasing the alarm insurance book of business from TRMS, Inc., one of the only insurance programs dedicated specifically to the alarm industry. This acquisition comes as TRMS President George Tanty retires after a 47-year long career providing risk management and insurance services to the alarm industry.
TRMS has been the exclusive broker for Brownyard Group’s alarm and monitoring services insurance program, Siren, since 2003. Backed by Brownyard Group’s 65 years of experience in the security industry, Siren is available through an A+ rated carrier and serves businesses providing alarm installation, security system installation, alarm system monitoring and more.

Brownyard’s acquisition of TRMS will not result in any changes to Siren. Coverage will remain the same and include general liability, commercial excess liability, business auto, commercial property, inland marine and first- and third-party dishonesty. Coverage is available in all states except Alaska & Nebraska.
